Our research

At the heart of our mission lies a foundation of research. We engage in in-depth interviews with visually-impaired individuals, as well as with experts and researchers in the field, to gather firsthand insights and experiences. We also perform market research to implement the best practices and technologies available. Through this approach, we ensure that our initiatives are data-driven and tailored to meet the needs of those we aim to serve.

100,000 +

That’s the number of individuals with visual-impairment in Quebec. Research also shows that up to 60% of fully-sighted individuals find the metro confusing, and a whopping 84% find the STM’s accessibility efforts inadequate.

Non-sighted people study their itinerary much more before actually going out.

Findings from our UX survey đź“Š

Within the context of McGill’s Integrated Management Student Fellowship (IMSF), we conducted an anonymous UX survey aimed at gathering broad data from blind and/or visually impaired individuals who use Montreal’s transit on a daily basis.
